Reconsprite 2D to 3D converter is very easy to use, after installed the program, there will be a menu item of 'ReconSprite' on the main menu of AutoCAD, following is the basic steps to convert a multi-views drawing into a 3d solid:
Step 1: Open a 2D multi-views drawing in AutoCAD
Please note that only entities such as lines,circles and arcs are accepted by current version of Reconsprite and also the projection information of the 3D solid to be reconstructed should be complete and correct. If there exist other information such as dimensions or annotations in the drawing, maybe you should remove them manually. You can find some sample drawings which can be reconstructed successfully in the directory of "C:\Reconsprite Share\" after you installed the software. Also you can find more samples here.
Step 2: Reconstruct the 3D solid
After preparing the 2D drawing, you can now reconstruct your 3D solid. Typing "Recon3D" in the AutoCAD command line or selecting menu item from menubar "ReconSprite->Recon3D".after a while, you will get a valid 3d solid in a minute for you.
After installed Reconsprite 2D to 3D converter, the program will add a submenu item of "ReconSprite" to the main menu of AutoCAD at the time of startup of AutoCAD. There exists five items under the submenu of "ReconSprite":
1) "Recon3D", the command to reconstruct 3d solid from 2d views.
2) "Help", you can get sufficient help information about how to use Reconsprite.
3) "Buy Now", if you feel Reconsprite is helpful to you, this menu item will guide you to the PURCHASE link.
4) "Register Reconsprite", after purchased Reconsprite 2D to 3D converter, you can unlock the evaluation limitation by clicking this menu item.
5) "On line support", this item will guide you to our on line support web site. You are all welcomed whether or not a registered user.
Other than the menu items, if you are used to the command line of AutoCAD, you can use the following commands added by ReconSprite 2D to 3D Converter to AutoCAD. Each command corresponds to an above listed menu item.
1) "recon3d" ------- "Recon3D" menu item
2) "rchelp" ---------- "Help" menu item
3) "rcbuynow" ----- "Buy Now" menu item
4) "rcreg" ------------ "Register ReconSprite" menu item
5) "rconline"--------- "On line support" menu item
